OPPORTUNITIES FOR IMPROVEMENT MANAGEMENT OF HIGHER EDUCATION

Abstract

Subject of research in this paper study are the processes of quality management in higher education during the period after the establishment of the socialist socioeconomic system in our country until today. A critical review of the subjects in this process is made, among which are: the academic staff of universities, curricula and study programs, the students, the curricula and study programs Emphasis is put on greater autonomy for higher education in the management of teaching and research, in accessing funding and greater equality between public and private universities in the spirit of good European practices. Concrete opinions are expressed and specific recommendations are given for changes to the existing legislation relating to the management of higher education in Bulgaria.
