The role of career centers in universities

Abstract

The paper presents the establishment and functioning of the career centers at the Bulgarian higher education institutions as a successful model for assisting the students through the information on the vacancies, the employers and the labor market; career counseling services; training to acquire various skills related to finding and retaining work, etc. The study is aimed at analyzing the activities of the Student internships project as a good example of effective partnerships between higher education institutions and the employers. As a result, conclusions were drawn regarding the growing role of university career centers in today's business environment.
