Abstract

The paper examines the essence of zoning as a dynamic process, its peculiarities and species. The physiographic and socio-economic zoning used in Bulgaria are presented. The state of the administrative-territorial division of the country and the regional development of the territories in the context of the concept of sustainable development and growth are analyzed.
