Current state and prospects of tourism development in the Republic of Azerbaijan. Model of holistic socio-professional competences of a tourism manager

The presentation discusses the current state and prospects of tourism development in the Republic of Azerbaijan. The tourist potential is considered in the context of nature diversity, rich kitchen, hospitable people, historical monuments and strongly growing tourism industry. The main conclusion focuses on that for turning existing potential into an opportunity there is a need for staff development. Additionally, the perspectives fot future development of the educational system and the international cooperation are discussed.
