Abstract

Geographic Information Systems (GIS), particularly platforms like ArcGIS, have become crucial in the transportation domain, offering sophisticated tools for planning, management, and optimization of transport networks. By integrating spatial data with analytical capabilities, ArcGIS enables efficient route planning, real-time traffic monitoring, and resource allocation. This study explores current applications of GIS, specifically ArcGIS, in transport, evaluates its impact on decision-making, and identifies potential areas for further development. Through an analysis of case studies and existing literature, this research highlights the benefits and challenges of ArcGIS implementation in transportation systems, emphasizing its role in achieving sustainable mobility solutions.
