SURVEY STUDY OF THE REPRODUCTIVE ATTITUDES OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN BULGARIA (PRIMARY RESULTS)
Abstract
The purpose of the study is to study the reproductive attitudes of young people in Bulgaria aged 20-40. The main method is the questionnaire, combined with expert assessments. The survey is conducted through the Google Forms application. The main task at the current stage is testing the survey and training the interviewers. They will be recruited from among the students of the Higher School of Agribusiness and Regional Development.
Results and Conclusions:
1) The majority of the people surveyed accept the two-child family model, but experience certain difficulties in implementing it.
2) Many of the respondents do not know Bulgaria's demographic policy well, the rest evaluate it as ineffective or even incorrect.
3) Reproductive attitudes and behavior are not among the current and considered important topics for the majority of respondents. This necessitates more active explanatory work with young people, promotion and updating of Bulgaria's demographic strategy.
