THE IMPACT OF SPORT ON ESTABLISHING GREEN JOBS

Abstract

The topic of environmental protection is among the most relevant in recent years. And sports events are very often in nature. This is leading leading sports organizations to develop more and more environmental programs. This publication provides an overview of the concept of „green workplace” in EU legislation and in Bulgaria. There is evidence of the actions of international sports organizations to provide conditions for increasing green areas, to protect local flora and fauna, including endangered species of plants and animals, to use waste-free and energy-saving technologies in the construction of sports facilities, to include synthetic materials, and not to use materials and equipment that affect the ozone layer.
