This paper analyzes global structural resilience by synthesizing findings from the FM Global Resilience Index, identifying Denmark, Luxembourg, Singapore, Norway, and Switzerland as leaders in business stability, risk management, and digitalization. It evaluates key dimensions of risk, finding that while top nations excel in climate adaptation, energy security, and logistics, global vulnerabilities persist regarding climate exposure, single-source manufacturing, and social inequality. A special focus of this study is dedicated to the vulnerability analysis of the Republic of Moldova. The article is based on a combined qualitative and quantitative secondary data analysis using a comparative approach that utilizes metrics from the FM Global Resilience Index, the World Bank Logistics Performance Index, and the Legatum Prosperity Index. The methodology includes assessing national structural resilience through the analysis of macroeconomics, climate adaptation, energy infrastructure, logistics, and social cohesion.
Note: The article was elaborated within the Subprogram 030101 „Strengthening the resilience, competitiveness, and sustainability of the economy of the Republic of Moldova in the context of the accession process to the European Union”, institutional funding.
