Abstract

Local partnership is a sustainable mechanism on the territory of the municipalities

of Tutrakan and Slivo Pole for the implementation of joint activities and responsibilities in the

implementation of projects. The local community is the citizens and legal entities who have a

permanent or current address or seat on the territory of the Local Action Group “Tutrakan Slivo

Pole” /LAG/ and have a mutual interest in carrying out activities to achieve certain eligible goals. It

builds on the strengths - the “assets” of the community in a social, environmental and economic

aspect, instead of only compensating or partially finding a solution to the existing problems. On the

territories of the two municipalities of Tutrakan and Slivo Pole, there are informed and trained

individuals, representatives of a wide range of stakeholders, characteristic of the territory, who will

assist and directly participate in the process of implementing the strategy. Sustainable development

is a means of ensuring the well-being of Bulgarian citizens - both those living today and future

generations. Guarantees for sustainable development are created with reasonable and balanced

management of the population, resources and the environment.
