DEVELOPMENT AND STATE OF PASSANGER TRANSPORT BY RAIL IN BULGARIA

Abstract


The article analyzes the market for passenger rail transport in Bulgaria considering: the development of the rail system for passenger and cargo transport in Bulgaria, the connection of rail with other modes of transport segments in passenger traffic; operators of passenger transport by rail; demand and supply of passenger services by rail. The study shows that the development of railway transport should be discussed in the context of sustainable economic, social and environmental development, bringing its major advantages and making recommendations for improvement and enhancing its competitiveness.
