EUROPEAN COMMON AGRICULTURAL POLICY
Abstract
Legislation and policies in agriculture play a key role in regulating and promoting the agricultural sector. In Bulgaria, as well as in the European Union, these legal acts and strategies aim at the sustainable development of agriculture, the competitiveness of the sector, and ensuring food security. Agriculture is one of the most important industries in the economy, which not only provides food and raw materials but also significantly contributes to employment and economic development, especially in rural areas. At the same time, the agricultural sector faces numerous challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, the need for sustainable resource use, and improving competitiveness.
