Abstract

In the context of globalization, digitalization, and increasing competition, human resources have become the most valuable asset of any organization. The success of contemporary organizations depends not only on financial resources and technological capabilities but also on their ability to attract, develop, and retain talented employees. Consequently, talent management has emerged as one of the most critical functions of human resource management. It represents a strategic process aimed at identifying, developing, and effectively utilizing employees' potential in order to enhance organizational performance and maintain a sustainable competitive advantage.

Effective talent management has a significant impact on organizational development. It contributes to increased productivity, improved work quality, enhanced innovation, and reduced employee turnover. Furthermore, organizations that successfully manage talent strengthen their employer brand and are better positioned to attract highly qualified candidates.

From the employees' perspective, talent management provides opportunities for professional development, the acquisition of new competencies, and career advancement. As a result, it enhances job satisfaction, employee engagement, and motivation.

It is precisely for this reason that the topic remains highly relevant and continues to attract scholarly interest. The primary objective of this paper is to review the existing definitions of the concept of talent and to emphasize the importance of talent management. The research methodology employed is aligned with the stated objective and includes comparative analysis, historical review, and synthesis.
