STRATEGIC CORRUPTION RISK MANAGEMENT IN THE MINISTRY OF INTERIOR AS PART OF THE SECURITY SECTOR

Abstract


Corruption and corrupt practices in modern society are a scourge on the normal functioning of the state apparatus, catalysing processes and activities that can undermine the national security of the system and challenge the normal functioning of the state. Anti-corruption policies therefore occupy a central place in the functioning of a state. They are a set of specific activities aimed at regulating relations between members of society and the state, without taking into account subjects who differ in their social status. The actions of the state to approach corruption may be different in many ways, but are unified in their nature are perceived in their essence as an activity to regulate relations of equality in society. In today's globalised society, the challenge of corruption is one of the most serious threats to the economy of any country. It disrupts the normal functioning of democratically established state institutions and leads to a loss of confidence in them, threatening the democratic values and foundations of modern society.
