OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF WINTER TOURISM IN THE TERRITORY OF THE SHUMEN PLATEAU NATURE PARK

Modern trends show a growing demand for alternative and specialized forms of

tourism that combine active recreation, nature conservation and authentic experiences.

Shumen Plateau Nature Park, located in the immediate vicinity of the city of Shumen,

combines favorable natural and climatic conditions, a rich cultural and historical heritage and a

well-developed infrastructure. This makes it a suitable environment for the development of winter

tourism with moderate intensity, aimed at a wide range of users - local population, families, youth

and lovers of active recreation.
