ANALYSIS AND OPPORTUNITY OF AGROTOURISM: A TOOL FOR REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Abstract


Tourism is a priority, this strategic sector for any country in the world tends to develop and promote itself, and agrotourism has a distinct and very important role in this process. Agro-ecotourism contributes to sustainable development and represents an opportunity for the development of regions that have the necessary resources and conditions to capitalize on them. A safe alternative for the integration of tourism activities and food services that take advantage of the beauty and attractiveness of landscapes shaped by agricultural activities that can be an international tourist attraction. Agro-ecotourism is a form of tourism that is responsible and respectful of the environment, local culture and traditions, generating the economic wellbeing of the local population. In this context, it can be argued that there are numerous prospects for developing and promoting wine and horticultural agro-ecotourism in Moldova.
