TERRITORIAL CHARACTERISTICS OF POPULATION AGING IN BULGARIA

Abstract


The aging of the population in Bulgaria is characterized by a number of differences among various territories and municipalities, influenced by different factors. The internal territorial differences in the country, as well as in its regions and municipalities, are marked by both positive and negative aspects concerning the demographic state of the population. A territorial analysis of aging can indicate which areas have the greatest need for measures to slow down this process.
