ATTEMPTS TO OPTIMIZE THE SYSTEM OF INTERNAL CONTROL OF A CREDIT INSTITUTION IN THE DIRECTION OF GUARANTEEING AGAINST CYBER RISK

Petar Petkov

Abstract

The article aims to examine the problems, that property of conflict is determined by the presence of a number of contradictions between the objectively occurring risk situations and their subjective assessment.

The report considers that the level of interest of top managers and beneficiaries of a credit institution to the modernization of the information technology system for electronic banking determines the effectiveness of the implementation of business processes at all levels of remote service to bank users. Internal controls based on cyber-risk appear to be most attractive from a financial point of view and economically expedient if the regulatory processes regulate the whole range of banking risks. Therefore, in the case of electronic customer service in financial institutions, the work methods of the internal control service should be expanded with information and necessary regulations regarding the procedure for assessing and monitoring new banking risks of the organization. The main methods, used in this article, are application of analysis, synthesis, comparison and concretizing.

As a conclusion of this article, some of the obstacles at the current stage of the formation of the cyber insurance market are indicated.
