The purpose of this research paper is to examine the goals and challenges of the regional development in a pandemic.

Clarifying the essence of the regional development concept.
Analysis of the socio - economic situation of different districts in Bulgaria on the basis of summarized data from the beginning of the pandemic.
Presentation of the main goals and challenges for achieving sustainable and balanced regional development in a pandemic.References
