RESEARCH AND MARKETING ANALYSIS OF OPPORTUNITIES FOR DEVELOPMENT OF TOURIM IN BRATSIGOVO AND PESTERA

Abstract

The paper examines the nature, characteristics and importance of tourism. The characteristics and conditions of tourism in Bulgaria are revealed. The resource base for development of different types of alternative tourism in the municipalities Bratsigovo and Pestera is studied and their degree of use. The attitudes of visitors and residents of municipalities Bratsigovo and Peshtera regarding their development as destinations for ecological, rural, mountain and cultural and historical tourism are investigated. Analyses and recommendations for the development of these types of tourism in municipalities Bratsigovo and Peshtera are presented. An assessment of the impact of the combination of these types of tourism on tourists and residents of both municipalities is made.
