Abstract

Every corporate company that sticks to its image and stands behind the name of the company strives to emphasize more and more how socially oriented and responsible it is. Companies strive to be an integral part of civil society by supporting a variety of non-profit initiatives. Social responsibility to society is embedded in the business strategy of every company. The goals of this strategy are to increase employment among the local population, support significant and useful for society initiatives, effective support of local educational, medical, cultural, social and other institutions. As a result of the increasingly active position of the European institutions, the topic of socially responsible business is becoming part of the policies of the European Union and is becoming increasingly important at all levels - international, European Community, national, corporate. The main purpose of the article is to show the role of Corporate social responsibility (CSR), systematized opinions in the direction of „for“ and „against“ CSR in Bulgaria.
