TOURISM IN THE USA – CONTEMPORARY STATE, TENDENCIES, PROBLEMS
Abstract
The article presents the contemporary state of travel and tourism and shows the profile of one of the biggest industries in the USA that has an important economic and social impact. The tendencies in the development of the tourism infrastructure and in the structure of tourist flows (separately about the outbound, inbound and domestic tourism) are analyzed. Some regional and functional characteristics in the development of the American tourism are highlighted. The problem of the insufficient tourism openness of the USA and the approaches to its increase are analyzed.
