DEVELOPMENT AND RESTRUCTURING OF EMPLOYMENT IN BULGARIA IN THE PERIOD OF TRANSITION AND ACTIVE TRANSFORMATIONS

Abstract

The study presents state-of-art and development of labor market and employment in Bulgaria in the years of transition to market economy. By comparative analyses in the field under study in the years of centralized planned economy, in the starting period of transition from industrial to postindustrial society and functioning market economy, marked by globalization processes and world economic crisis of the last years of XXI century, the characteristic features of Bulgarian model for transformation of labor market and employment are derived in relation to the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. The factors of unemployment in its varieties (manifested, hidden, indirect) are revealed and on that basis the problematic fields in employment and efficiency of labor are pointed which is in support of the authors’ conclusions about the establishment of an active model of labor market and employment corresponding to the labor market.
