25 YEARS UNIVERSITY OF AGRIBUSINESS AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

In 2017 University of agribusiness and rural development (UARD) celebrated its 25th anniversary. So we have to say a few words about its history, a few words about the mission, about its uniqueness. Independently of any state financial support the university (established in 1992 as Higher school “Agricultural college” fisrt) has been raised the number of its students 100 times in these years and has approved itself as the biggest private university targeted to Bulgarian regions. The main principles of work are connected to the investment in human capital and innovation development. The basic element in UARD’s activities is that higher education is not only science, but culture. The openness to the world is the key to its success and future development.
