ESSENCE AND HISTORICAL ASPECTS OF COOPERATIVES

Abstract

The cooperatives has changed over the years due to a number of economic reasons. Due to the specifics of the historical development in Bulgaria the development of the agricultural sector in the last century is briefly presented as a practice, subject of many discussions. As part of the cooperative work, cooperatives are discussed through the example of the EU countries and the legal foundations are drawn for the development of cooperatives in the country today. The main findings emphasize the advantages of cooperatives and their potential for future development.
