DEMOGRAPHIC CHARACTERISTICS OF STARA ZAGORA MUNICIPALITY

Abstract

The article presents the demographic characteristics of the municipality of Stara Zagora, analyzing and comparing to those of the country the following: population number and dynamics, spatial distribution, sex and age structure, ethnic and confessional structure, educational structure, population movement and others. Attention is also paid to labor resources and unemployment. The conclusions underline the main demographic trends – common for the  country and specific for the municipality analyzed.
