LEGISLATION AND POLICIES IN AGRICULTURE
Abstract
Legislation and policies in agriculture play a key role in regulating and promoting the agricultural sector. In Bulgaria, as well as in the European Union, these legal acts and strategies are aimed at the sustainable development of agriculture, enhancing the sector's competitiveness, and ensuring food security. Agriculture is an important sector in the economy, which not only provides food and raw materials but also plays a vital role in employment and economic development, particularly in rural areas. However, the sector faces a number of challenges, including climate change, biodiversity loss, the need for sustainable resource use, and the improvement of competitiveness. Effective legislation and policies are crucial for addressing these challenges and ensuring the long-term success of agriculture.
