NORMATIVE REQUIREMENTS FOR ORGANIC BEEKEEPING IN BULGARIA
Abstract
Biological beekeeping is a system for managing the production process of honey and bee products, as close as possible to the natural state and functioning of bee colonies in nature. This is beekeeping practiced in ecologically clean areas, without the use of synthetic drugs, artificially created sugary foods and without contact of the bees with substances and materials that are not natural for them. Due to its natural features (climate, variety of honey plants), our country has traditions in the production of pure bee products.
Strategically, beekeeping should contribute to the achievement of more sustainable agricultural production, the use of unproductive lands in disadvantaged areas and the maintenance of biodiversity in grassy areas-pastures and meadows.Keywords
